SEOUL, Korea – May 21, 2018 – More than 200 industry experts and thought leaders from academia will gather June 20-21 at the 2018FLEX Korea conference for critical insights into the latest flexible hybrid electronics (FHE) technologies and market opportunities. Hosted by FlexTech, a SEMI Strategic Association Partner, 2018FLEX Korea showcases advanced displays, Smart Automotive, sensors, flexible batteries, flexible thermoelectric devices and other core FHE technologies and applications.  

2018 Flex Korea LogoThe flexible and printed electronics markets are expected to reach $20 billion by 2022, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22 percent from 2016 to 2022, according to Zion Research. Flexible hybrid electronics and printed electronics enable new form factors and economics for a diverse and often disruptive set of applications.

Themed “Path to Market,” the two-day technical conference at the COEX Exhibition Center features four sessions with 19 technology experts presenting on critical FHE technologies. Highlighting 2018FLEX Korea, four keynotes will offer penetrating insights into technology drivers in advanced displays and sensors for automotive:

  • Future Display, Flexible OLED Display by Seyeoul Kwon, chief research engineer, LG Display
  • Micro LED by Falcon Liu, marketing director, PlayNitride
  • Autonomous Driving-NVIDIA Strategy by Jung Hoon Cha, sales manager, NVIDIA
  • Trend in Today’s Display Technology by Jun H. Souk, professor, Hanyang University
