The SEMI Sales and Marketing Council – North America

The SEMI Sales and Marketing Council – North America (SSMC), provides advice and guidance to SEMI on new product development, product and service quality, and member communications in North America, as well as manage specific SEMI affiliated programs. The Council’s primary objective is to improve and enhance member value and member satisfaction.

The Council also serves as a friendly networking venue for industry sales and marketing executives.

Members of the Council work to represent the interests of SEMI North America members, voicing their best understanding of broad member interest, independent of individual or company interest and striving to educate themselves on important issues facing membership and the association.

Council Structure

The Council has an Executive Board that consists of Chair and Vice-Chair positions, a SEMI Executive Sponsor and the Chair person from each of the Council’s four Subcommittees.

The four subcommittees are:

Communications & Membership Committee:

  • Focus areas include topics, such as: Membership, IP, 450mm
  • Subcommittee includes a SEMI Executive Sponsor and a Committee Chair person
  • Expected time commitment is about 5 hours/month

Community:

  • Focus areas are local programs, social activities, fundraising.
  • Subcommittee includes a SEMI Executive Sponsor and a Committee chair person
  • Expected time commitment is regular monthly meetings

Programs/Trade Shows Committee:

  • Focus areas include topics, such as: SEMICON, SBC, Training..
  • Subcommittee includes a SEMI Executive Chair person
  • Expected time commitment would be ~ 10 hours/month

Forums:

  • Focus areas include topics, such as: SVLF, Breakfast forums….
  • Subcommittee includes a SEMI Executive Sponsor and a Committee Chair person
  • Expected time commitment would be ~ 6 hours/month
