SEMI Delivers Industry Leaders’ Views on Challenges and Opportunities—New Audiocast Series Offers Perspectives, Insights
Today, SEMI introduces Voices of the Industry, a series of 15–minute audiocasts informing the advanced manufacturing community of new developments, market opportunities and challenges. Hosted by former Semiconductor Manufacturing Magazine editor-in-chief and publisher, Steve Buehler, the series will feature interviews with SEMI members and analysts, who will provide insight into the ever-changing landscape of advanced manufacturing.
The inaugural episode, entitled “Seeking Industry-wide Cooperation through the MTF,” features an interview with Pati Boucard, director of Corporate Factory Automation at KLA-Tencor. The segment focuses on the SEMI-sponsored industry group, the Manufacturing Technology Forum (MTF), and its charter of developing standards-based solutions to current and future advanced manufacturing issues.
“As the global association for semiconductor equipment and materials manufacturing, we ensure that our members and the industry as a whole are kept abreast of information on new developments and opportunities in our space,” said Steve Buehler, host of the weekly discussion. “Voices of the Industry provides a unique platform for SEMI members to discuss various business and technological issues facing our industry today.”
Over the next months, the audiocast will feature wide-ranging topics including industry standards; new materials research and development; environmental, health and safety legislation; 300mm Prime as a manufacturing approach independent of 450mm wafer manufacturing; megafabs; and SEMI market research report results.
