SEMI is a co-sponsor of the 2008 Silicon Valley Engineers Week Banquet on February 28, 2008. The banquet is organized by the Silicon Valley Engineering Council (SVEC). SVEC honors outstanding individuals for their remarkable contributions by welcoming them into its Hall of Fame. The banquet will also feature scholarships awards for academic excellence.

  • W.J. "Jerry" Sanders III, Founder & Chairman Emeritus, Advanced Micro Devices—Inductee, National Academy of Engineering

The networking reception and no-host bar at 5:30pm is followed by the SVEC President’s Welcome at 6:30pm. Dinner begins about 6:45pm, while the official program starts at 7:15pm—with the formal recognition of sponsors and distinguished guests, SVEC Engineering Hall of Fame Induction, and Scholarship Presentations.

The banquet will take place at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel in San Jose, California. Tickets cost $75 each, and a “table of ten” can be purchased for $750 (Earlybird pricing through January 15).
