SEMI Industry Strategy Symposium Europe 2005 to be held in Berlin 6-8 February

SEMI INDUSTRY STRATEGY SYMPOSIUM EUROPE (ISS EUROPE) 2005 TO BE HELD IN BERLIN 6-8 FEBRUARY

BRUSSELS, 25 January 2005 -- SEMI has announced the agenda for the Industry Strategy Symposium Europe (ISS Europe 2005), the most comprehensive executive conference focusing on European and global semiconductor, equipment and materials trends. The event, now in its 18th year, will be held 6-8 February 2005 at the Hotel Hilton Berlin (Germany).

The conference theme, "Strengthening Europe’s Competitiveness in the Global Environment: Innovation, Manufacturing and Education," will be the focus of presentations by industry leaders, analysts, consortia and government officials.

Business and technology trends will be addressed by executives from key companies in the microelectronics supply chain including Infineon Technologies, Philips Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics, Intel, AMD, TSMC Europe, Robert Bosch, Applied Materials, ASML, NEC Electronics, TechSearch International and Wind River.

Economic perspectives and industry forecasts will be presented by expert analysts from Credit Suisse, IC Insights, Future Horizons, VLSI Research and SEMI.

Public authorities, research institutes and the academia will be represented by the European Commission, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Science, the City of Berlin, MEDEA+, the Fraunhofer Institute IZM, LETI, IMEC, the German-Polish University and the Russian Research Institute “Kurchatov”.
