NanoForum 2005 set for October 5-6
NanoForum 2005 TO EXPLORE NEW MARKETS, NEW OPPORTUNITIES
October 5-6 Nanotechnology Conference in San Jose to Cover Latest Technical Developments as Well as Major Market Opportunities
SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 18, 2005 – SEMI® announced today that NanoForum® 2005, an international conference for leaders in nanotechnology and the semiconductor industry to explore commercialization of nanotech applications, will be Oct. 5-6 at the Marriott, San Jose, Calif. NanoForum is the only global nanotech conference that leverages the technical and manufacturing expertise of semiconductor equipment, materials and service suppliers.
Building on the success of last fall’s inaugural NanoForum in Austin, Texas, NanoForum 2005 will explore expanding opportunities for nanotechnology in 10 major markets, as well as the latest technological developments for producing nano devices. Markets to be addressed include medical, biotechnology, automotive, consumer, energy, industrial controls, defense, aerospace, information technology and telecommunications. Technology topics include materials, metrology, deposition, surface conditioning, etch, implant, planarization, diffusion and annealing.
“With the participation of nearly 400 delegates from North American, Europe and Asia, NanoForum 2004 launched a global discussion of commercializing nanotech between the semiconductor industry, and investors, entrepreneurs, scientists and government officials,” said Stanley Myers, SEMI president and chief executive officer. “NanoForum 2005 will bring these key groups back together to share their expertise and insights and to explore the evolving opportunities and technological developments for nanotech.”
“NanoForum is an excellent conference on multiple levels,” said Andy Mrozowski, executive vice president for GTI Coatings Inc., a leader in precision plating and metal-cleaning applications for the electronics, semiconductor, aerospace and telecommunications industries. “Between the scheduled presentations of relevant technical and business topics and the frequent opportunities to visit with potential clients in such a professional setting, NanoForum offers GTI Coatings unparalleled exposure to nanotechnology’s rapidly emerging potential.”
