Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry Macro-Challenges Examined by Leading Technologists at ASMC 2008
Conference to feature Industry Leader Keynotes, and 80+ Peer-reviewed Presentations
SAN JOSE, Calif. – March 10, 2008 – The 19th Annual IEEE/SEMI Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Conference and Workshop (ASMC 2008) will be held May 5-7 at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The conference will feature presentations of over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts that cover critical technologies affecting fab performance.
For almost two decades, ASMC has been a leading conference that enables collaboration and sharing of technical breakthroughs that provide a valuable source of cost-effective, hands-on solutions to address real-world manufacturing challenges.
This year’s conference features keynotes delivered by industry leaders from AMD, Synopsys, IBM Research, Linde Electronics and Intel. In addition, the conference will offer 15 unique sessions highlighting key topics including:
Advanced equipment and materials
Design for Manufacturability
ASMC opens the evening of May 4 with a welcome reception. The ASMC poster session/reception that closes day one of the conference offers networking opportunities between authors and conference attendees. During this interactive session, papers will be presented on topics such as detection of manufacturing problems using product test data, tool-to-tool interface standardization and yield optimization with DFM, and many others.
ASMC 2008 is presented by SEMI and the IEEE. The two and a half day conference is co-sponsored by the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS), the IEEE Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology Society (CPMT). Corporate sponsors include Applied Materials, Aviza Technology, Brooks Automation, CyberOptics Semiconductor, Infineon, KLA-Tencor, Linde Electronics, Nikon, Synopsys, Toppan and Solid State Technology.
