Terry Brewer, Ph.D.
Terry Brewer is president of Brewer Science, the company he founded in Rolla, Missouri, in 1981 to commercialize his invention of anti-reflective coatings (ARC® materials). With a strong focus on the global marketplace, Brewer Science creates, develops, and manufactures specialty materials, equipment, and process solutions for applications in semiconductors, advanced packaging/3-D ICs, MEMS, sensors, displays, LEDs, and printed electronics. The company's in-depth knowledge and expertise in materials science, chemistry, physics, optics, modeling, and process integration distinguish it from all other material suppliers worldwide.
Under the leadership of Dr. Brewer, Brewer Science has grown to be an international company with locations in North America, Europe, and Asia. Dr. Brewer serves as a member of the SEMI North America Advisory Board. He is a founding member of the Jordan Valley Innovation Center (JVIC) and serves on the board of Springfield Innovation, Inc. Dr. Brewer is a strong advocate for education and the arts and has served on many related boards and committees.
During his career, Dr. Brewer has been an inventor for a number of patents and has authored multiple technical and business publications. Under his leadership, Brewer Science has successfully commercialized many government-sponsored technologies and is actively consulted by our government leaders for guidance regarding U.S. advanced technology, manufacturing, and small business development policies.
