The Fab Owners Alliance's working groups meet regularly to discuss and act on common manufacturing issues by combining strengths and resources to maintain and increase their global competitiveness.

Equipment Engineers & Maintenance Managers (EE&MM)
The team focuses on issues regarding opportunity and concern for team members. The team meets via teleconference once in 2 months and then face to face once a year. Some of the topics the team recently discussed include Tools/parts obsolescence, second source suppliers, training.
IE
Industrial Engineering (IE)
The team meets once a year typically face-to-face and focuses on discussions around manufacturing efficiency. Teams share experiences ( successes as well as lessons learned) with recent project implementations and process improvements.
FDC
Fault Detection and Classification (FDC)
The charter of this team is to identify best practices with analysis of equipment data to reduce the risk of excursions and share experiences with FDC implementations. The team typically meets over a web conference bi-monthly.

Facilities
The charter of this team is to Share semiconductor site facilities best practices with each other, enabling all to add value to their sites through their participation and support each other during site-specific events by sharing experiences and making suggestions to resolve site-specific issues. The goal is that all sites will gain significant value participating in the team, helping them to remain competitive globally. The team meets via a web conference once a quarter.
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
The team provides a forum for EHS professionals to discuss best practices and issues common to semiconductor manufacturing companies. The team meets via a web conference once a quarter.
Cyber Security (IT)
Cyber Security (IT)
The charter of this team is to identify best practices in the application of technologies, processes, and controls to protect systems, networks, devices, and data from cyber-attacks. Discussing old and new semiconductor equipment and systems. The team typically meets over a web conference and aims to get together once a year in person.
HR
Human Resources (HR)
The team provides a forum for Human Resources professionals to discuss common issues like hiring and retaining top talent and expanding diversity. The team also collaborate yearly to create an annual HR metrics survey.
