In the coming decade the Pact for Skills program has enormous opportunities:
To create European training centers, universities, and industries that work together in a Network for Microelectronics Design, Manufacturing, and Technology Training on a regional and national level, while using public/ private partnerships. To establish easy accessibility to this network and to be able to provide up-to-date content on several levels in the areas mentioned. This will also increase the number of students in the STEM field. In short, to have an effective European training program, easily accessible from all the EU countries, used by thousands of Europeans yearly, with well-balanced participation on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, for upskilling and reskilling in microelectronics.
To position the sector as highly attractive to work in, meaningful to our society, effectively supporting developments to solve crucial problems, contributing to a better life and planet with a comprehensive focus on sustainability, “green” practices, and targeting disruptive innovations to help us all reach the necessary social responsibility goals.
To significantly and continuously contribute to the goals set out in the Chips Act, supporting the acceleration of critical developments, and creating a more resilient Europe.
