由於AI應用需求商機持續發酵,高速傳輸也在加速運算趨勢下成為焦點,半導體領導大廠台積電、日月光皆出「矽光子將成為半導體產業未來5到10年的關鍵技術,發展矽光子不僅有助於延伸摩爾定律壽命,也可鞏固台灣於全球的半導體重要地位。」
有鑑於此,SEMI國際半導體產業協會將於5月16日舉辦矽光子線上研討會,以Bridging Innovation in Silicon Photonics為主題,邀請矽光子領域專家,分享矽光子技術未來的發展前景與挑戰。
As the demand for AI applications continues to grow, the focus has also shifted to high-speed data transmission, accelerated by computing trends. Leading semiconductor companies, TSMC and ASE, have both indicated that "silicon photonics will become a key technology for the semiconductor industry in the next 5 to 10 years. Developing silicon photonics not only helps extend the life of Moore's Law but also consolidates Taiwan's important position in the global semiconductor landscape."
In light of this, the SEMI will host Silicon Photonics Seminar on May 16, themed "Bridging Innovation in Silicon Photonics". The seminar will invite experts in the field of silicon photonics to share insights on the future development prospects and challenges of silicon photonics technology.
