After two days of online pitches Startups for Sustainable Semiconductors semifinalists, the program’s organizing committee has selected nine finalists. These companies will present at the Sustainability Pavilion during the Startups for Sustainable Semiconductor session at SEMICON West.

SEMI launched the Women in Semiconductors (WiS) program in 2018 to promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and since then has spared no effort to help women – from students to professionals at all organization levels – thrive in the industry.

Themed Stronger Together, SEMICON West 2024 will gather industry experts and government officials to share insights into critical areas for the chip industry including supply chain resilience, heterogeneous integration, cybersecurity, sustainability and workforce development.

Across our industry-driven programs and working groups, we are exploring new ways to engage government, academia and civil society to unlock the power of quadruple helix support and propel the semiconductor industry to $1 trillion and beyond.

Reflecting the strength of the movement to address challenges for women in the workplace but also help them succeed and move into positions of leadership, Women in Semiconductors (WiS) 2024 reached record attendance of nearly 220 with six speakers.

Industry leaders gathered at the SEMI Talent Forum 2024 to promote their companies and products to the next generation of industry talent, highlighting innovation, sustainability, diversity, and the omnipresence of semiconductors in our daily lives.

At SEMICON Southeast Asia 2024 next week at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, discussions on collaborations amongst Southeast Asia players will take precedence in the spirit of elevating the region’s position in the global value chain.

Today, as SEMI University (SEMI U) celebrates its one-year anniversary. Learners can now access over 575 courses in multiple languages and engage with an expanding learning community of over 3,300 learners in over 55 countries, with all courses developed or instructed by industry experts.
