In the 25 years as a Semiconductor technologist, Ms. Bhat’s main thrust has been driving innovation and creativity. She believes in cultivating ownership and accountability to establish high performance teams passionate about transformation and change. She is passionate about creating sustainable business practices and truly believe that corporations are perfectly positioned to make a huge impact not only to the environment and community but also to the global High Tech industry.
Since coming to SEMI in April 2022, she has launched the Climate Consortium, tripled the number of Working Groups on sustainability topics, and is on track to impact 1M lives with industry professionals.
She has worked as a professional minority in Europe, US and Asia, which has made her keenly aware of the challenges experienced by professionals in the workplace, and she leverages this personal experience to drive education and awareness in organizations with the goal to foster Inclusion.
She has a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and from MIT and a Ph.D. from University of Texas at Austin. Her work experience includes Texas Instruments, Motorola, Global Foundries and Micron. She holds an Executive MBA from Stanford and a Sustainable Finance certification from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
