(Building Good Lives) Gift back to the community with SEMI Southeast Asia's Industry Of Good

Leveraging on the "City of Good" concept, SEMI Southeast Asia is launching an initiative on "Industry Of Good" to elevate the branding of the semiconductor industry and more essentially, provide a platform for small and medium enterprises to gift back to society through collective ESG efforts. Organizations and leaders can come together to give their best for others, demonstrating an "other-centered" mindset through actions. 

Today, climate change has an increased importance affecting our daily lives and the semiconductor industry is accelerating efforts to meet net zero emissions by 2050. Incorporating circularity solutions as part of the "Industry Of Good" activities, SEMI strives to create a sustainable environment for future generations. 

How It Works

The Industry of Good initiative targets to fundraise ASE x SEMI pouches for Rainbow Centre, with SEMI Southeast Asia and ASE Social Enterprise bearing the upcycling production costs of the ASE x SEMI pouches. To donate, purchase our ASE x SEMI pouches from our donation page and redeem your ASE x SEMI pouches via our Google Form. You may also view our step-by-step guide on how to donate here.

Funds raised from the ASE x SEMI pouches will go towards Rainbow Centre's Building Good Lives campaign in supporting their efforts to serve children and youths with disabilities by overcoming their learning journey difficulties using assistive technology. 

What Are ASE x SEMI Pouches?

As part of SEMI Southeast Asia's journey towards a circular economy, ASE Social Enterprise has developed an idea for woven bags made of 100% recycled polypropylene (PP). 

ASE worked with various vendors to design and manufacture these bags. Each bag, sized 176 × 250 mm is made from three recycled plastic beverage cups collected from ASE’s facilities. 

Beneath its simple appearance lies a design infused with sustainable ingenuity, demonstrating our commitment to environmental sustainability, and fostering industry partnerships.
